BTS isn’t just back. They’re rewriting the record books. ARIRANG holds at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (dated April 11) for a second consecutive week, earning 187,000 equivalent album units in the tracking week ending April 2, according to Luminate. That’s down 71% from its record-breaking debut of 641,000 units, but more than enough to fend off a crowded field of new entries. The milestone makes ARIRANG the first K-pop album ever to spend two consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and the longest-running No. 1 of all seven BTS chart-toppers, each of which previously spent just one week at the summit.
Of ARIRANG’s 187,000 units this week, album sales account for 114,000, remaining No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart for a second week. Streaming equivalent album units comprise 65,000, equal to 68.49 million on-demand official streams, while track equivalent albums make up the remaining 8,000.
Ye’s BULLY debuts at No. 2 with 152,000 equivalent album units, making it his 14th top-10 album on the Billboard 200, and notably all 14 have reached the top two. Of BULLY’s total, 96,000 units came from streaming, equal to 98.43 million on-demand streams, while album sales account for 56,000. As Billboard reported, first-week sales were aided by multiple color vinyl variants, deluxe boxed sets with branded merch, and signed editions. The debut also ends Ye’s near-perfect run of No. 1 solo albums dating back to 2005’s Late Registration, making BULLY only his second solo project to miss the top spot after 2004’s The College Dropout.
Melanie Martinez lands at No. 3 with HADES, earning 84,000 equivalent album units and notching her fourth top-10 album on the Billboard 200. Of that total, 63,000 came from album sales and 21,000 from streaming. Her previous top-10 entries were PORTALS (No. 2, 2023), K-12 (No. 3, 2019), and Cry Baby (No. 6, 2015).
Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem falls to No. 4 with 76,000 units, down less than 1%, while Yeat’s ADL debuts at No. 5 with 57,000 units, his seventh top-10 entry on the chart. Of ADL’s total, 31,000 units came from streaming and 26,000 from album sales.
Rounding out the top 10: Luke Combs’ The Way I Am dips to No. 6 with 55,000 units, Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving moves to No. 7 with 54,000, Don Toliver’s OCTANE holds at No. 8 with 53,000, Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos drops to No. 9 with 50,000, and Harry Styles’ Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. falls to No. 10 with 48,000 units.
The broader context behind ARIRANG’s chart staying power is worth noting. As Billboard’s full K-pop chart historyshows, 23 K-pop albums have now reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 since BTS first broke through with Love Yourself: Tear in 2018. ARIRANG is the first to hold that position for two straight weeks, a feat that underscores just how different this BTS comeback is from anything the genre has produced before. The world tour launches April 9 in Goyang, South Korea, with U.S. dates beginning April 25 in Tampa.
