Manon is choosing to put herself first. Katseye announced Friday Manon is taking a temporary hiatus from the girl group “to focus on her her and well being”
HYBE and Geffen broke the news at 6:45 p.m. ET Friday, posting a notice to KATSEYE’s fan community on Weverse.
“After open and thoughtful conversations together, we are sharing that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing,” the message reads. “We fully support this decision. KATSEYE remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us. The group will continue scheduled activities during this time, and we look forward to being together again when the time is right. Thank you to our EYEKONS for your continued love, patience, and understanding.”
Manon’s fellow KATSEYE members Yoonchae, Lara Raj, Daniela Avanzini, Sophia Laforteza and Megan Skiendiel said the group will “continue scheduled activities during this time” and expressed that they look “forward to being together again when the time is right.”
KATSEYE came together in 2023 through the reality competition series The Debut: Dream Academy, where 20 contestants were narrowed down to a six member lineup. It wasn’t just a show. It was an international audition for a global girl group built in real time.
Since forming, they’ve released two EPs, 2024’s SIS (Soft Is Strong) and 2025’s Beautiful Chaos. The latter pushed them into the Billboard Hot 100 conversation for the first time. “Gnarly” reached No. 82. “Gabriela” climbed to No. 26.
