Now known as the biggest pop group in the world, BTS has released their fifth album ARIRANG, which became the most streamed K-Pop album in Spotify history with 110 million streams in a single day — also making it the most streamed album in a single day for 2026. This highly anticipated album was just the start. The day after its release, BTS threw a free comeback concert at Gwanghwamun Square, with 22,000 tickets distributed. In collaboration with the National Museum Cultural Foundation, BTS also honored The Sacred Bell of King Seongdeok by creating a line of products that blended the Shilla Dynasty with modern streetwear.
Since the big comeback, BTS has taken no days off. They are now scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for a two-day show on Wednesday, March 25th and Thursday, March 26th of 2026. Many of the members returned to the show individually once they returned from the military, however these upcoming episodes will mark the official return of the seven member boy band to American television. BTS and Jimmy Fallon have scheduled interviews, games, and most importantly two live performances of songs from their new album. The last time this same two-day schedule was used was for BTS’ 2021 “BTS Takeover”, where they performed Butter and Permission To Dance.
On top of the packed show, each day will have special guest appearances who will be joining BTS on the Tonight Show stage. The March 25th episode will feature American actress and singer Ariana DeBose, while the March 26th episode will feature American actor and film producer Chris Pratt, as well as American actor and writer Charlie Day.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will air live on NBC at 11:35/10:35c and be available to stream on Peacock the following day.
